Hyderabad: ISB Hyderabad has won the first season of Vedanta’s XStrat B-School Case Study Competition in an event held recently. IIM Ahmedabad won the 1st runners-up trophy, while IIM Calcutta and MDI Gurgaon were jointly voted 2nd runners-up.

Launched in November, the Vedanta XStrat B-School Case Study Competition gives India’s talented student community a taste of the exciting array of case studies in the metals and oil and gas industry they are generally not on display, at a time when India is emerging as a global manufacturing destination.

ISB Hyderabad students Vishnu Kiritee Guttikonda, Akhil Ruttala and Pradeep Bodige stood out among all attendees for their insightful analysis on unlocking greater value and capitalizing on emerging opportunities for Vedanta and societies. of his group.

The case studies covered interesting topics such as the development of new markets for oil and gas activities, innovations in ESG excellence, the creation of greater value for the conglomerate, among others. In the first season, the competition saw the participation of over 6,000 students from 30 leading business schools in India. 20 CXOs from Vedanta Group companies mentored the students as they competed in various challenges.
